Happy New Year!

This New Year’s eve will be memorable for a long time.  A very large full moon, beaming down over relatively calm Atlantic rollers was a great backdrop as we broke some steaks out of the freezer and raided the dwindling supplies of chocolates and champagne.

As we counted down the seconds, the illusion that we were alone was shattered with a number of merchant ships broadcasting New Year’s greetings over the VHF, we weren’t alone, we has neighbours around 75km away....

Overnight and today we are steaming SSW at around 6.5kt, and should be able to turn directly for Salvador tomorrow morning, and run the rest of the way under our Parasailor. We should be in Salvador on Tuesday morning.
