Having had our fix of BBQ, chocolate and coke, we left Salvador yesterday at 18:00 to head south to Rio de Janeiro. It was great to have arrived in Brazil of course, but it feels like it will only be mission accomplished when we arrive in Rio, which will hopefully be Saturday or Sunday.

Although the forecast said we’d have light winds all the way down, we met 20 kts or so from our first 20 minutes at sea until pretty much now ( it’s 15:30), so we’ve been averaging 7 kts, which is great. Again we’ve been dodging thunderstorms so far successfully J
