Winds still light but have veered to the North
East.......so Big Bertha has to clear the ring for Black Betty.
I know this is beginning to sound like an old
fashioned tag wrestling match for big butch women but that is to some extent
what it has been like.
Unlike our Atlantic transit, where we set our
sails at the beginning and didnt touch them til the end and hung on to dear life
in between, this trip has been a real test of sail planning. A bit like
racing in a way and so Black Betty, our Asymetric Spinnaker, is taking up the
fight to the finish. But, to be honest, I have had enough of flukey winds
and sail changes for while and am looking forward to getting there. Bring on the
Pastis, I say. Only another 200 miles or so to go.
