An unauspiscious start. We nearly left the pontoon without unplugging the electrics. If it wasnt for our pal Ross standing on the quayside to see us off we would have dragged the pontoon across the marina. The winds were very light to start and we made slow progress motor sailing South. However the wind did fill in from the East as forecast and we turned the motor off during the early hours. It steadily increased to Force 4/5 and we are now making good progress with an average speed over the ground of 7+ knts and bursts upto 10 knts.

Shaun was the first to test our transom shower contraption. It was quite clear that the water must have been cold!. But hey ho atleast he smells alittle sweater than the rest of us.
After the first 24 hours run we managed 153M and we are quite pleased with that bearing in mind our slow start. The sea and weather has been kind to us so far, lets hope it stays that way.
