Made landfall in the Galapagos as dawn was
breaking. What a forboding sight.
Visibility wasn't too good, it was raining with
squally gusts and the first island, San Cristibal appeared through a green mist,
yes green and I do not exaggerate. It looked like some prehistoric
landscape. There were no lights, no sign of habitation and if you listened
carefully you could hear King Kong roar for his breakfast and we could be it. We
thought..... so thats it then, we have left the beautiful Las Perlas Islands,
sailed 1000 miles to be eaten alive by King Kong.
Lets hope a bit of sunshine cheers thing up a bit.
Should arrive in Puerto Villamil, Isla Isabela sometime in the early hours.
Looking forward to a good quiet nights sleep......Lets hope giant gorillas can't
swim.
