So arrived yesterday morning at about 09.30.... very helpful traffic control on ch11 told me there was a tug due in at the same time as us and we followed her in. Entry was actually a piece of piss....from about a mile off shore the fog lifted and we moored next to Charlie, who is another solo sailor in a beautiful boat waiting for a window to get back to UK.
Further details of entry trauma to follow...... More importantly, this place is magical! The people, the food, and the music scene are all extraordinary.
Dropped Junior at the airport..... I hope we have made some peace... He is a really wonderful guy, and as I explained to him, it is entirely my responsibility that it all went difficult. I should have done more due diligence about his preparedness for such a venture. I learned a lot from him, and I hope he has gone home with something of value from it all.
So tonight, not having eaten anything but rice and pasta for far too long, I wandered into town.,....a few blocks down I found a bar with live music.. 😳 So anyway, on the back of it, will be taking the mistress to a session tomorrow afternoon, and maybe playing a gig later. Asked a couple of people where they would go to eat and was led to an incredible restaurant that provided a heavenly feast.....it appears I am in paradise!!
All is back on an even keel on Sula.
A big thank you to Alice, and Will for their assistance, I now know why they are called "growlers" but the fog is custodian to this hidden kingdom.
