On Friday 18th September we left Torrevieja for
Alicante, from where we had booked a flight to return home for a brief period.
After the trauma of the previous noght we were not sorry to leave, yet we felt
in many ways Torrevieja had much to offer and we certainly came across some very
decent folk there.
In Alicante there is a mixture of old and new and
towering above the town is the castle of Santa Barbara, which we had to climb up
to (although there is a lift for those not so inclined).
