Kanaloa in centre of picture, on the mooring in Cammeray where she has been patiently waiting for us since September 2007, 2 years and 6 months later we get back to find her in good shape, apart from needing new batteries, and up-grading  and repairing a lot of other things to enhance our life aboard.

DSC05829 David and Chris, Opera in the Park.jpgOpera in the Park with Chris Blomfield Brown, was a great way to relax when we first arrived in Sydney in February

Chris has looked after Kanaloa regularly for the 2.5 years we were away, as he lives on his boat on a mooring in Cammeray a few rowing strokes away.

Chris and Gerry Blomfield Brown here with David.  We met them in 2000 whilst crossing the Pacific.  How lucky we are that they are living aboard Tahirih so close to Kanaloa.

We had Kanaloa in Sydney City Marina, opposite the Fish Market just under Anzac Bridge for a short while to have the batteries changed and have the water maker checked out.  The water maker did not finally get sorted until we got to Mooloolaba, 1 month l The noise from the traffic on ANZAC Bridge was not as bad as it was when we hauled out at the Marina near Spit Bridge!

1. White Cockatoos gathering on rigging.JPG

White Cockatoos gathering at dusk on the rigging of the ketch opposite, we had that happen most of the time before we put on CD’s swinging from the rigging and netting to stop them.  But using the wind instruments as a roundabout seems to be their favourite sport!
