1 week later, Convoy leaves Mornington Wilderness

After unusual heavy rains delayed our departure

This put David’s 4 wheel driving skills to the test

Sliding around as if on ice for 100 kms

Once back on the Gibb River road,

Imintji filling station gave us all a welcome break

Do these back windscreens need a wash?

Monitor lizard gets a fright as we drive past it in the river

Finally on some dry road

Windjamma coral reef guards the way out of the Kimberleys

Boab tree looks prehistoric too

We made it by nightfall

Next morning, back on the tarmac in Derby
