We had an uneventful sail from Soufriere Bay in St. Lucia to Chateaubelair
in St. Vincent. Here is the "authentic" Caribbean. We stopped at
Chateaubelair because it is the first port of entry into St. Vincent.
However the north end of St. Vincent is rather impoverished and not really
on the tourist route. There are also reported 'security' incidents with
visiting yachts. We were too late arriving to clear in with Customs but
went ashore to register with Immigration (at the police station). A bit
frightening at first but the people in Chateaubelair proved to be very
pleasant and helpful. In the end our stay here was very pleasant.
