Day 18 was a very quiet day. There was no wind at all, just a sweltering heat, blue skies and blue sea. Apart from a gentle undulating swell the sea was calm. We motored steadily westwards for the last 24 hours, and today is pretty much the same; we are still motoring.

Nothing much else to report. All is well on board. Our supplies are lasting out, though now we have very little by way of fresh veg left. Our remaining eggs are also past their best. But the watermaker has done a sterling job; we still have virtually the same amount of fresh water as we did when we set out. Our batteries are full; the freezer is still well-stocked as well as the larder cupboard. We still have 2 full gas bottles (having used less than 1 on our voyage so far). So, if we have to we can manage quite nicely here until about March!

154 miles yesterday, making a total since Las Palmas of 2573, and leaving 308 to go.
