Tavira proved to be a rather congested anchorage; not much room to swing
and the river banks very close in. After some ‘difficulties’ we finished
up with 2 anchors down and eventually had a settled night.
In the morning we had a dinghy trip up the river into the town, before
setting sail for Cadiz. We left Tavira at 12.30 and arrived in Cadiz at
23.30. A good sail with an average speed of 7.5kts.
We spent a couple of days in Cadiz. The marina, Puerto America, is in
a rather industrial and rundown part of the city, but the city itself is quite
beautiful and well worth the visit |
