Moy Toad left Gibralter yesterday afternoon and has now continued along the Portuguese coast today and is now at anchor in a bay for the night before rounding Cape St Vincent to start heading north.
They have a 1.5 metre swell and 20 knots of wind on the nose so not ideal for rounding the Cape in the dark.
It’s rather comforting to know where they are anchored as we have been to Martinhal several times - once by land and then in Mor Toad - 5 plus years ago prior to crossing to the Canary Islands b4 crossing the Atlantic. We also spent time then in Lagos on Mor Toad waiting for a weather window to cross with Joy and Brad on board our Australian friends.
So we hope skipper and crew have a restful night and the swell doesn’t get them.
