Mor Toad arrived back in St Mawes around 7.00pm on Saturday 13th June around 9.5 months after she left the harbour at the end of August last year at the start of her and our adventure. David and I went out to meet her in the RIB as did Border force (which we weren’t expecting though the skipper was not surprised) who then put two men on board whilst we all went into St Mawes harbour to pick up her mooring. Border Force then spent the next 2 hours questioning everyone and searching the boat which was slightly frustrating as we had beer and BBQ waiting back home for the skipper and crew not only that it was extremely cold sat out in the harbour. So skipper and crew (Halcyon Yachts) were pleased to be back they had left Tortola on 3rd May so it has been long journey back across the Atlantic (apparently not the skippers longest by two days) and we were pleased to see Mor Toad back. Now we have to empty her of stuff - toys, books, clothes, things and several jars of Pesto and microwave popcorn but apparently not much else in the way of the food we had put on at the start - they finished the tins off thankfully. So where next? not only that it was freezing cold sat ut in the harbour. OK they had job to do but we |
