New engine ordered in UK ( took a lot of organising but much cheaper than buying in Palma and getting the guys in Palma to sort - and as it turns out a much quicker job too. local guy from St Mawes David Llewelyn drove out to Palma with the engine early March and David flew out and so did another Llewelyn to help. It took 3 days of solid hard work from them all to get the generator out and then the engine and then put it all back again.

Job done sea trials done and the Llewellyns left and I flew into Palma to join David fora couple of days there and then we got the ferry to Barcelona and had 3 nights there but already Covid19 was rearing its ugly head and we decided to cut short our trip round Spain and across to Morocco and in fact all ferry ports were closed so we couldn’t have got to Morocco in any case.

So with ‘lockdown’ and the Coronavirus affecting the whole world all plans have changed and we can no longer bring the boat home .
