After a leisurely start from Cala Boix we headed west on round the coast of Ibiza - the very noticeable thing being the covering of pine trees on the hills inland with very little housing. Most of the housing is around the small Calas along the coast some of which have quite big hotels too - sadly not that pretty either but certainly some interesting housing .

Our next stop was Cala Cala having briefly stopped in Cala llenya but presumably decided that was not tenable anchorage for the night.

Cala Cala was quite a large bay with the usual hotels behind and walking along the beach a lot of bodies not that well clad and definitely beetroot in colour - not a pleasant sight really but they were on holiday!!

We went ashore and had a wander along the coast to where we had tried to anchor had an ice cream and walked back. Not a lot of inspiration in this particular spot. The only excitement being that the outboard engine on the dinghy stopped as we were going in and failed to start for our returns journey to the boat so D had to row which was not easy as the seat wasn’t in the boat!

Another job to sort .
