This was the blog for yesterday evening that may not have sent!!
We are not receving may e-mails from out side world? Is that because
you are not sending them or are we just not getting them through
mailasail??
OK so two Blogs for the price of one today with a general up date on the
last few days and now a short summary of the second half of today.
A mixed day is the best way of describing today. Lots of time spent
pointing not at were we want to go and then the wind dying off on us only to
pick up and final go round to a direction some where close to the forecast. so
at 2230 we are finally pointing at Gib from just over 600 NM out. Mind you we
are still close hauled with one reef in the main. If we do get wind on the beam
tomorrow we will see if we can reduce that by more than 150 NM which has been
our up wind average for the whole trip!
One bit of fun today, one of the mast “wedges” dropped out again so we had
to use a rope round the front of the mast while Sam refitted it again.
Cloud just thinned enough to get sun sights at lunch time and during the
afternoon
On that note the crew wish you all a good
night. |
