Ceilidh arrived alongside the fuel berth at 07:00 hours at Las
Palmas marina this morning.
We were met by our shore team and ARC crew so it was great to catch up
again after so many weeks at sea.
It was a feeling of some achievement that all the equipment and weather
issues have been overcome to arrive safely at our destination.
For the record we have completed 2,746NM since departing Kos on 25 October,
this seems like a very long time ago now!
The last days run has been under mainsail and engine only as the NW breeze
was mainly around F2
Richard was aloft in the bosun’s chair to unfurl and then recover the
damaged genoa, a large section of the luff had come away at the seam which looks
like a fair bit of work for the sailmaker.
So I plan a few days of relaxation while the fresh legs of Ceilidh’s newly
arrived ARC crew take up the strain of preparing for the ARC start on 25
November.
I will post some photos of our activities in Las Palmas over the next few
days.
