We arrived at Botafoch Marina Ibiza at 09:00 this morning in rather murky
conditions although it is still a beautiful part of the world.
As soon as we were alongside we spent around 2 hours disconnecting the
mainsail and all the battens hardware so that this could be picked up and
repaired by the sailmaker.
We also took down the self tacking genoa as the leech and UV protective
strip were coming undone.
So having had these sails picked up and showered I feel the rest of the day
can be taking as an official half day off!
The previous 24hrs were a mixture of close reaching and motor sailing as
the wind veered from NW to NE and then East but never more than 12knots.
So we completed 785NM in just under 5 days from Malta and the crew
sweepstake was won by Zoe, Mr G was last by many nautical miles!
So you will have to excuse me if the blog is offline for the next
couple of days as we prepare for the next stage to Gibraltar.
Among the jobs list is a new loo seat and Lewmar electric winch control
buttons!
