We had a pleasant day in whi
ch to celebrate Michaela’s birthday tho’ a little more wind would have been nice. She opened her cards and presents after a special delivery by dolphin post. She was thrilled and excited to get so many wishes of love and ‘missings’ and sends lots of hugs and kisses and thank yous to Granddad, Mum and Paul, Michael and Alison and ... everyone!!!

Most of the afternoon we lazed on deck with feet trailing over the side to catch a cool wave every now and then. Who ever said that ocean cruising on a smelly little boat was challenging! No cocktails though, Mum! Mind you, I expect she’ll make up for it when we get to Tobago!!

The wind has died away again and the engine is doing its thing. We have about 300 miles to go but can’t be certain whether it’ll take us three days, four days or even five days to get there. We don’t quite have enough fuel  to motor  all the way so we may have to drift along for a while.

Without a little breeze it’s beginning to hot up. The cabin fans are whirring away and it doesn’t help that I decided to bake bread this morning. Smells delicious tho’.
