More dolphins on Michael's watch this morning. One even somersaulted for him. That now leaves Andrew as the the dolphin virgin for this trip. One very small Exocet commited hari kiri on the deck overnight. He was duly buried at sea with full honours since he was to small to fry and put in a butty for the captain.

'Treasure Island' has been my constant companion since leaving Marina Rubicon. I think old Robert Louis S got it wrong when he gave Ben Gunn the words ' cheese mainly,  toasted'. Hadn't he heard of pork pies?

We've now done all the westing we need and gybed this morning and so we are now heading directly for the CVIs. If all goes well we should arrive on Sunday (31st).

It was a very wet afternoon yesterday. Waves kept slopping (or should that be flopping? Just a minute, I'll go and consult my copy of Nelson's lexicon. No, he doesn't seem to have it. Clearly waves didn't slop or flop in Nelson's day) into the cockpit and even one or two managed to soak the floor of the main cabin. This didn't do the cabbages any good. Not surprsed at that - it would have done pork pies no good either. Perhaps it's just as well I don't have any - would have hated to see them go to waste.

Whaddya mean - go to waste. Wot's wrong with a salty pork pie??!!

Had a go at bread making this morning. It's taking its time about rising so I think this one will go down as a 'valuable lesson'! But whilst I wait the boys are serenading us on their guitar. Very relaxing.

Happy sailing.
