Another delightful day of sailing down the trades
except that we are rolling and rolling and rolling.
This morning Neptune sent a school of dolphins to
cheer us on our way. Lots of them. We sat on the foredeck and watched them
leaping in and out of our bow wave for about twenty minutes. These were not the
shy, retiring types we saw way back in the doldrums. These were full-on
exuberant, energetic ones. Perhaps they stayed with us longer than usual
because we are actually going fast enough for a change to create a half-decent
bow wave!
It's time to start guessing our ETA. Odd, really,
because we still have exactly the same distance to go as we had for the
entire trip from Gib. to Lanzarote, but we feel that we are almost
there. Anyway, our best guess at the moment is sometime on December 3rd - 5 days
hence.
