Happy New Year, everyone!  We are starting the year off well- we are back in Cholon Bay.  Once again, we have laboured to remove as much of the Cartagena sludge as we can see in the mangrove water, so ANGEL too is feeling ready for a new year of sailing.

Helen from DEJA VU  has returned and is conducting daily water aerobics classes.  A good healthy start to each day!  The first class this session was very stimulating.  As I was approaching DEJA VU through the water I was once again accosted by a remora!  Helen and I decided not to inform the other ladies of this event.  Unfortunately, we were compelled to do so when our little friend attacked everyone throughout the class!  Marilyn from DREAM KETCHER ended up doing her exercises on the catamaran's swim platform!

Undaunted, we returned the next morning to find that our assailant must have had his jollies the day before and never returned.  Whew!!!!

For New Year's Eve, we were all invited aboard MANATEE again for Happy Hour.  We knew that cruisers would not make it until midnight, so the plan was to celebrate at 5:00 pm as this would be midnight in Chester, England- DARRAMY's home port.  Unfortunately, Dave and I never made it that long.  I went for a two hour swim beforehand and then Dave opened a bottle of bubbly before leaving.  The next I knew it was morning!!!!

To compensate for this lack of sociability, we BOTH went to aerobics class.  Brian from DARRAMY had broken the gender barrier earlier by becoming the first male to venture into so-called "feminine territory' and this morning ALL the spouses have come to take part!

When was the last time you saw so many smiling faces on New Year's Day?
