Today we moved about a mile south to Gunboat Island.  This island was probably so named after the US helped to defuse the situation when the kunas rebelled and slaughtered the oppressive police efforts and mixed-race kunas at the time of independence.  Again, it is a picturesque little island.  We will be travelling to Porvenir tomorrow to check into the country (at last) and  obtain our cruising permit, entitling us to travel some more in this wonderful country.
