136 miles to go - excitement building as has the wind; a frisky force 6 from the east is bouncing us along at 9 knots with occassional spikes at 12 knots as the squalls come through. Steve took one for the team last night when he got doused in a down pour of "biblical proportions"..The Atlantic is going for a big finish, huge rolling swell, looming black cloud interspersed with bright blue.

We lost another line last night, our jib sheet chaffed through so the jib isn't poled out anymore - 2 wheels on our wagon!

Lots of banter on the radio as yachts converge on St Lucia, much talk of beers and shredded sails. We can see a couple of the yachts and others show up on AIS. There'll be quite a gang of us arriving in the small hours of Tuesday morning - reckon they'll open the bar specially for us??!!.

More news later in the day - we've got one more gybe to do to get us heading straight for St Lucia - at the moment we are heading hard for Barbados. We have a sweepstake going on board to predict arrival time so the timing of the gybe is open to bribery....

Here are the crew's punts on arrival time (all St Lucia time, 5 hours behind UK)

Skipper    01.00
Alison        04.50
Claire        11.00
Steve        midnight
Hugo        02.30
Laurence    03.30
Immy        21.00 (Monday - the crew optimist!)

The prize for the best guess is double grog rations and the honour of helming Tilly Mint across the finish line. Laurence & I are hot favourites at the moment

We've got the champagne cooling. Immy asked if she could have her own glass. We said of course sweetheart - every time you cross the Atlantic you can have your own glass of champagne......
