Genoa saga continues. Despite Steve climbing to the
top of the mast 3 times and Alex following him up part way several times the
bl***y sail is still sunbathbathing along the starboard side deck and may stay
like that for a while yet. Don't think that the ladies where idle though,
Claire, single handed, winched these burly blokes up and down the mast and I
tried to keep an "even keel" at the helm. All a little tense and ultinately fruitless
Nuff of the bad news - we ended the day with a
perfect sunset and Skipper's birthday cake - he was awake for the occassion -
just blinked as the photo was taken. Two other yachts in sight, Nauta D and
Amazing Grace, nice to have company. All aboard preparing for nightfall. Mood
definitely lifted by chocolate cake and Skipper's new Cheryl Cole
CD.
New day tomorrow and lighter winds forecast so the
Parasailor could be making an outing. . Vague muttering up deck now about
problems with Stanley the blade jib. Ever heard of the song "Three wheels on my
wagon and I'm still rolling along"? Well that is today's theme
tune........
