803 miles to go. An uneventful night for the night
watches and paeceful one for those asleep. Steve did a sterling job of trimming
the sails in the hours before dawn to eek out bit of speed and keep down
the rolling. The last 24 hours have seen us off our pace a bit, 170 miles rather
than our customary 200. This is due to lighter winds and a degree of phaffing
around getting the parasailor up yesterday. But respectable non the less and
still keeping us on target for arrival on Monday, but we're not counting our
chickens just yet! The winds are picking up now and we've got back to our
benchmark 8 knots boat speed. Not that we are obsessing about statistics, but I
think we are all looking forward to arriving.
It's a beautiful day and the sea state is benign.
Time to raid the freezer and decide today's dish a la tomato puree
In the absence of a photograph of our Minke, Immy
& Hugo have drawn you some pictures
