485 miles to go and the winds have returned -
yippee!! We are zipping along at 7 knots and hoping for more later as the winds
are forecast to build. It's quite rocky and rolly this morning so galley duty
was something of a comedy routine. Don't trouble me for the detail but I managed
to get half a pint of scrambled mixture down the back of the cooker which ebbed
and flowed until it sloshed out all over the galley floor.......
Photos attached of yesterday's high octane
afternoon watch and one of my little helpers in the galley and another little
helper collecting her grog rations for Happy Hour.
We're nearly there and all keen to arrive but the
voyage has flown over and every day feels a bit different to the
last.
Today Skipper is getting to grips with the air con
system (I may have mentioned before that it's not working) Steve was grappling
with a jammed up shackle at first light. Hugo & I did battle in the galley.
Immy is colouring in (again). Laurence is contemplating a spot of fishing.
Claire is napping after night watches (in the face of adversity as there is a
lot of clatter and clamour down below from the washing up). Another day is
unfolding and once again I find myself pondering upon tomato puree - I do need
to get out more!
