Bernie’s Blog - Day 9 – Sunday 29 May An uneventful but lovely day at sea yesterday. We have stared to see little Portuguese Men o’War – the jelly fish with the small flappy bit on the surface and dangly stingy things (tentacles) underneath. We also found onboard our second flying fish. But not a lot else to report on wildlife apart from the motley crew aboard! A change of plan for supper: we had our skipper’s very tasty “Peasant Sausage (chorizo) Casserole”. The Fray Bentos is for another day. Last night we saw a mighty electrical storm to the north and east of us …maybe as far as 50 miles …. and it lit up the sky. A sign possibly of differing weather ahead. I leave you with this Sea Toast: To the Wind that Blows, a Ship that goes and the lass that loves a sailor. |
