Here's a backlog of video which has been accumulating on
board since we last had a fast internet connection. This lot took just over one
minute to upload from the café at Newport's 'Mission to
Seamen'
Bermuda Refuel. Loading duty free diesel in Bermuda. Not
exactly a bargain at $5.90 for one US gallon! Phil from Tehani-Li fills cans,
Nick from World Cruising Club enjoys a middle eastern coffee.
Foggy Newport. The first scenes are at sea on the final
day of our run up from Bermuda, fog and rain but warm and dry below. At Newport
we are tied up at Casey's Marina waiting for a visit from Richard, the skipper
of Magnetic Sky, who eventually arrives out of the mists.
Water Fire, May 28th
On weekend summer nights in Providence they light up the
river with bonfires. The events attracts thousands to listen to music and take
gondola rides. We were amazed at how well ordered everything was - no drunks, no
litter, nobody jumping off the bridges - how unlike what we come to expect at
this kind of thing in Europe.
