Taking it easy in the British Virgin
Islands
The beach sequence is Loblolly Beach on the island of
Anegada, probably the most beautiful shore we've ever walked on and the clearest
water. The restaurant is at Saba Rock, a small islet covered with a guest house,
restaurant, a miniature garden and beach and a bar serving the best Pain Killers
ever. Saba Rock is at the head of Virgin Gorda Sound which is where Nirit filmed
me dragging around in the dinghy.
Nirit's Birthday Treat
The day before Nirit's birthday it looked as if she was
destined to spend it hanging around in the boatyard at Road Town, Tortola
watching me get stressed out over lack of usable shore power and some spare
parts. But thanks to a chance meeting we were invited to watch one of the main
events at the 40th BVI Spring Regatta from the media boat. We saw a couple of
yachts we'd last been alongside thousands of miles away and six months
previously in Las Palmas. There was plenty of action and a perfect day
for racing
