Typical of us, the Reflecting Pool was being renovated so the fantastic fireworks didn’t get reflected hence only half as fab as they should have been. Still, I’m sure it’ll be lovely when it’s finished!

Followed by a concert on Capitol Hill and obscene amount of fireworks not being reflected in the drained “Reflecting Pool!”

Quick sightseeing walk round Georgetown before heading back out to airport, UK bound.

Back in UK, totally immersed in Henry, buying a car, seeing Charlotte and meeting her Mr Bond, working on houses and all the other stuff which fills 3 months and we don’t know how it happens, but we’ve always run out of time to see all the family and friends we meant too. It was lovely to see those we did and apologies to those we didn’t! Make up for it next time we’re back
