Back in Cienfuegos, we catch 2 bike taxis to town, who get pulled over by the police and fined CUC10 each – god knows what for. The driver says it's because the system is bad, I think it's more likely the fact they were hanging on to each other as they cycled had more to do with it. When we dismount, he tries to charge us CUC3 for each person – which was not the deal. Think he’s trying to recoup some of his fine. We find a nice bar on Jose Marti Place and then set off to see the “unparalleled” views from the mirador on top of the local cultural casa. It’s closed for renovations. We try to buy some bread from the panadera but its closed till Manana while they paint the ceiling! Grrrr!
