After spending half an hour looking at GRIB and trying to figure out where to go next, I have given up.

There is a high pressure area sliding about ahead and to the north over the next few days and I can see no good route.
If you have not got GRIB download it: I use UGRIB on broadband and Mailasail's email version out here.
www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/avnpanel1.html might also give a useful picture, or perhaps even our met office.

I will test the answers you send and the prize will be VERY BIG if your route works.

The first part of this trip was quite straight forward for weather routing,
but this 3 day headwind, solid with no way round, was much less successful.

The sailing parameters are:

6 knots downwind in more than 12 knots of wind,
3 knots to windward, (50 degrees off the wind) in over 20 knots of wind,
or 4 knots to windward in 12 to 20 knots of wind.
I can plan to motor for about 1 day in less than 7 knots of wind.

I am trying to get to Flores: north 39 20  west 43 31
