The longer views were dramatic on the way up to Torshaven, distant cloudcapped islands one way
and then a bank of fog rolling down from the other direction (no photo in fog - they show little).
 
 
We finally got into Torshaven, waved at this schooner who later came by to ask if we would like to go out as crew today.
We did not get up in time but went to a talk by Rosie Swale who wrote sailing books years ago
and has spent the last 5 years running round the world towing a trailer.
 
 
 
When we got ashore we were met by the guy who wrote the Faroes tides programme we had been using to wriggle up the sides of the fjords.
With tides up to 12 knots (where we are going tomorrow) these are important.
