We tried to get into Hrafnfjordur, with the terminal morraine for the Drangajokull glacier just above.
At the entrance, where the chart stops showing depths (it says "unsurveyed") we gave up.

The weather gods had decided not to let us in: 25 knots of wind, rocks not charted and no sheltered anchorage in a west wind.
We beat back to the fjord next to last night's and re-anchored.

Adam is asleep again at 6.40pm, but perhaps we ought to have one proper meal today, lunch was only bread and honey.

Last night we put out our American aluminium anchor, which clearly says on it "The best anchor in the World".
Yet again it did not hold properly and with the engine in reverse we slid slowly back.
Rather than lift it, clear the weed off and try again we shackled the old 35lb CQR on to the chain and let out more rope.

Tonight we are using weight, the 35lb anchor, rather than new design, the 10lb aluminium one.
It does give exercise in the morning, lifting a 35lb anchor plus 20m of chain.

Here is last night's waterfall.

We need a bit more sun for tonight's snowfields, or the jagged peak right above, to look their best.
