 A chipmunk.

This is the nearest we got to wildlife at a Maine wildlife park.
All the others:  Bears, moose, wolves etc. were in cages, rescued not wild.
But it was interesting to see grey and red foxes, coyotes and white tailed deer.

Squirrels are all we usually see.  The grey and red live alongside each other here, but the red are smaller than in England and have white underneath.
The greys are more happily accepted at this motel, as the reds get into the buildings and do damage.

The trees are just coming into leaf, daffodils and azaleas coming out.  It is like England two months ago, but with temperatures in the 80s one day, then frost two mornings later.

We drive an automatic bus, with no local public transport there is no other way, although people lend cars more routinely.

Our motel is on the right, comfortable and friendly, but the TV just as bad as expected.

Most importantly, the boat is nearly ready.
The keel repaired and environmentally friendly, water based, antifouling paint applied.  Will it all wash off again?

In the water now, but why is all the rigging so slack?
Both the inner and outer forestays are being replaced.
We only found the problems as she was put in the water, but the new ones are already made and ready to fit tomorrow.

We should be ready to leave on Monday after posting Lorna home on Sunday.
The wind of course is due to go east on Wednesday, but who believes weather forecasts?
