I came on deck at 6.30 for a dramatic first view of Iceland:  Mountains with snowfields framed by a full semicircular rainbow.  Now at 9 we are close enough for photos.  That is a snowfield between 2 moutains ahead.

The  tide has been with us round 2 headlands, but on a close reach it can give bad overfalls.
With the depth at 90 or 100m they have been fine - normal bouncing.

You can see 3 reefs still in and the genoa well rolled, but plenty of sail to push us along.

Yesterday we were well reefed all day, mostly out on a broader reach  but with hatches firmly closed as occasional  breakers came over us.

Last night the sun set at 12:30 and rose again at 3:30 - with a clear sky both times.  I do not suppose it counts as a midnight sun, as local midnight is near 2am.
