Only 100 miles to Iceland

Really good day yesterday, I had close reached out due west on Saturday saying "the wind will go south west tomorrow" and it did.  The sea calmed down and we broad reached in sunshine all day.

I paid for it last night though when I reefed twice and finally took the main right down as the wind got up and came round to south east.  Up on deck at 1am but still full daylight.

I feel soft putting the heating on when going on deck, so the cabin is warm when I come down again.  I tell myself it is to keep things dry and civilised.

You can imagine the grey sea without a photo, at 3 this morning the sky was a bright dark grey, a full colour in its own right, not a shade of grey.  I hope that was the front coming through and we are into the wind on the north side of it.  The grib forecast showed more wind south of it than I want.

It may be 100 miles to Iceland but 120 to Seydisfjordur puts arrival off the coast at midnight and into harbour at 9 am tomorrow.  I rather hope the wind drops so we are later and I can get some sleep tonight.
