After another overnight sail we have arrived at Isafjordur, we are in one of the side fjords off it.  We set off at midnight and motored gently through the night, not that it gets dark, part way to dusk but you can still read outside.

Today the wind got up and we sailed when there was enough and took some photos.  Overnight and through the morning there was low cloud, down at a couple of hundred feet, so all these mountains were cropped.  Eventually the patches of sunshine joined and the views emerged.

We ended up in a different fjord to the one we intended, as that was under cloud whereas the one here is in sun.  We sailed up, anchored near the top and rowed ashore.

There was a snowdrift at sea level so we cut steps up it, using a stone as an iceaxe.

I am tired after two night sails but we are here before the west wind, which could have made it much harder work.
