Here you are folks, a real live glacier, the Drangajokull.

We saw it first a couple of days ago and to start with the little triangle low down on the left was more impressive as it appeared to go down to sea level.  As we got closer the glacier appeared, but there was more cloud and it was difficult to tell cloud from snow from sky.

The photo had to wait for a bit of sun, but then when I tried to send it, something along the email system failed, as it does occasionally and I got an error message next day.

Anyway here we are now sat in Isafjordur in the rain.  We got in last night and had fish at a little restaurant.
The swimming pool is the next plan for a much needed wash, oh no, there were good showers at Siglufjordur, so we are still pretty clean.  The only showers I have met with a big overhead rose and a small one on a hose for doing your feet.  Lots of geothermal hot water anyway.

Whales and glaciers, we have now done Iceland, but I had better wait for Lorna to arrive on Monday to see them as well.
