Arrived in Iceland at Seydisfjordur, (both town and fjord with the same name) on their national holiday.
Both the harbourmaster and customs have to work and have been aboard.

Long discussions of:
    where to visit,
    where to fish,
the gun due to go off soon at the town hall,
    where to get a shower
duty free booze when I leave.
All the useful things.

This is the harbour with the town round to the right and even on the blog you should see the snow just above it.
The harbourmaster said there had been new snow overnight.  The showers at sea level are only just above freezing.
Much like Cumbria in June.
