We had good progress yesterday.  The GRIB forecast had clearly shown a small front or depression with E winds north of it and W winds south.  We got south and held good winds all day, night and they are still here today.  They are more north then west, 3 reefs and a small but variable amount of genoa. Force 5 to 7.

The downside of good winds is spray and the occasional breaker.  I tied the spray hood frame so we can use the thing again and on a reach it is OK. Head out in the spray hood to look round is OK, but I cannot leave the hatch open a bit or the door boards off or in comes the spray.  So you get condensation instead.

Tomorrow is meant to be light head winds and there is still 800 miles to Flores.

I will try transmitting this, yesterday's second lot did not go, if email traffic stops it is water somewhere.  If this makes less than perfect sense, you try typing as waves come over washing all windows.
