This is the nearest we got to wildlife
at a Maine wildlife park.
All the others: Bears,
moose, wolves etc. were in cages, rescued not wild.
But it was interesting to see grey and red
foxes, coyotes and white tailed deer.
Squirrels are all we usually see. The grey
and red live alongside each other here, but the red are smaller than in
England and have white underneath.
The greys are more happily accepted at this motel,
as the reds get into the buildings and do damage.
The trees are just coming into leaf, daffodils and
azaleas coming out. It is like England two months ago, but with
temperatures in the 80s one day, then frost two mornings
We drive an automatic bus, with no local
public transport there is no other way, although people lend cars
