We now have engine and sails in working order but the mast is still a bit
wobbly. Rigging parts are being made up and airfreighted from Brisbane but
we are going to be here in Port Vila for a while yet before moving on to
Espiritu Santo. There are worse places to be and there is still lots to do
here.
Last night Petra (Viva) and Bob (Andante) had a joint birthday cake and
champagne party on a beach on an island in Port Vila harbour. Apart from
that it was a quiet night for the master and crew of Graptolite. Wear and
tear doesn't just affect the boat.
