Friday (Port Leone to Vathi): After marvelling and discussing the merits of the Ocean Pearl, we recovered the shore lines, weighed the anchor and enjoyed a pleasant sail to a delightful little town called Vathi. We moored stern to at Yani's taverna and after a swim, SAD's and a spot of lunch, we walked to the supermarket to buy some provisions.

Whilst having a beer at Jani's, the ferry came in and at this point we realised we were smack bang next to the slipway where it lowered its ramp. The captain parked it with perfection and there was surprisingly very little wash.

The quay had some very well maintained fishing boats tied up alongside, some of which had a strange array of lights that are apparently used to attract squid and deep waterfish.
