John & Liz started the week with an unusual BBQ of lamb - roasted on a spit - in the windy spot called Cleopatra Marina.  We set off the next day and had lumpy crossing in to levkas canal with the swinging bridge.  More like Holland than Greece except for the blue water, sky and the sun. Then down into Vlikho bay where we had lovely swims and then relaxed in the sunshine.

Then to Megonisi exploring the bays which are all so delightful with the olives and cypress trees and the little beaches.   We decided to go to Sivota for water on the Tuesday.   There was rain forecast but when we got into the bay wow did we get rain....in buckets and we even had to break out the oilies!!   There was thunder and lightening and lots of charter/flotilla boats trying to tie up....chaos.   So we Brits threw out the anchor and ...made a cup of tea!   Then left!!

The rest of the week was brilliant with sun and blue sea and lots of fun times with John doing his heroic rescue of Graham's speedo's.  (Should he have left them to sink we thought?   We are planning an Ionian evening when we are back in Woodbridge.  We can turn up the heating and make lots of Greek food and drink cold beers and warm (cheap) red wine.!!   We really enjoyed the company and missed both the Gibbins and Bubbs when they had flown home..   (Except J & L didn't bargain  on  waiting all day for their aeroplane - we half expected them back on the boat!!)

Now we are enjoying our daughters company for the week and the sun is hot and so far no rain.   Tonight we are in the rose garden in  Vathi for a meal out and hence the wi fi connection. It has been getting hotter all week!

More about the girl's visit soon.
