Around The Island

Position: Puerto Addaya Menorca

Since last pictures etc.  We have been cruising along the coast to some amazing places.  One of the calas was full of caves and very high cliffs, plus boats tied to rocks and nudist hippy's who presumably live in some of the caves.  (They weren't having much luck with their fishing either!) Cala Covas worth looking at it on Google Earth.

We had a brief visit to Cituadadella (Graham calls it Citronella which is easier to say).  We were able to fill with water and have a brief tour of the city.   We left because it was so hot (30 deg C  but felt like more) and we had just heard of a Storm Warning so we fled round the coast to Fornells - had two nights on a buoy.

We are now in Puerto Addaya a very friendly place where again we have sheltered from another blow. Entrance very narrow and shallow but unlike Orford its rock not mud.  That said, we have access to showers and washing machines and water for 1 Euro per 100 ltrs  Also since my dongle has died again ( 3 is RUBBISH - should have stuck with Vodafone) we have Wi Fi hence blog. Note from the photo even the tractors have biminis.

We are meeting friends from Rally Portugal on Sept 2nd or 3rd then will go back to Mallorca to await visit from Duncan and Melanie.   (Duncan is now an Ocean Yachtmaster - well done him).

Next up date will probably be in Mallorca.   Hope you are all well and see you in October.
