Slowly rolling our way across the Pacific. The wind is very light (less than 7knots) so we have the cast iron sail working which will also mean the deep freezer will be deep frozen and the batteries fully pumped. Trouble with the lack of wind is that its very warm but Jack has found a shady spot to sit and tell me jokes from which, even when they are bad are entertaining.
He has also been very busy spotting flying fish, arguing about various scientific topics and getting a tan. Hopefully I can persuade him to help me put up the kite a bit later when the promised wind emerges. I'm sure he will as he has been very helpful with everything else. Makes a big change from the solo effort, all those trips up and down the deck saved by a little assistance.
Hope this wind comes so we can kill the noise machine and return to the peace of a good sail soon.
