RIghto, this has gone on long enough! Pretty sad when I get excited if the log shows 2 knots. I am 30 mintues (half a degree) from the equator and the closer I get the slower, it seems, we go. 30 minutes that took forever. Sounds like a good title for a book and at the moment I certainly have the time. Pity the talent and inspiration aren't there. Got s feeling they might help.
In the time its taken me to type this (srop laughing Jack, I know I type slowly) Farr Gone has actually covered two of the required thirty minutes to get to the equatir. I realise there is alas, no black line arounf the planel at the equator but as I slowly have drifted towards it the crossing has grown in significance for me. I'm also looking forward tto being under southern sky's. The Southern Cross has been clearly visible for several nights now.
Nor much else to report, I did watch a movie while I charged the batteries last night. Bounty Hunter, and it was better than I expected.
